What Information Does Niimae Gather?

The Niimae service gathers limited information from users to help provide enhanced visitor experience and pertinent advertising. The service requires (at minimum) the establishment of a unique user-name, creation of a secure password, submission of the account holder's name, residence (country, state or providence, and city or town), as well as a valid email address. Further personal information submitted to the service is provided voluntarily at the user's discretion.  Email addresses submitted to obtain Niimae user accounts are neither sold nor distributed outside the service, but may be used to update users about Niimae current affairs, changes to the web-site, web-site maintenance, or other general announcements.  Niimae does not collect information on or permit users under the age of 13.  If discovered, this information and any associated account(s) will be immediately removed from the service. 

Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on Niimae.  Google uses DART cookies on Niimae which enables ad serving based on user visits to Niimae and/or other web-sites on the internet.  Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.  Third parties may place and read cookies from visitor and member browsers or use web beacons to gather information as a result of ad serving on the Niimae service.  You may opt out of many advertiser cookies by visiting Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out website at www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.  If you'd like information on opting out of additional vendor and/or ad network cookies (not found here) you may contact us for further information at cookie-opt@niimae.com.
