Nathan Myhrvold (former Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft and founder of Intellectual Ventures) has taken his vast experience in the world of technology and created the ultimate mosquito killing device.  Dubbed the "Death Star," this laser weapon is is capable of frying the disease ridden insects in mid flight.

The weapon not only helps level the playing field between us and  the estimated 100 trillion mosquitos worldwide, but also provides a truly entertaining way of killing the little pests.

Sadly, I don't imagine we'll see the "Death Star" on store shelves anytime soon...
